The United Nations declared June 3rd International World Bicycle Day #June3WorldBicycleDay. A special day to give more attention to the role a bicycles plays directly on at least 12 of the 17 sustainable development goals, cycling delivers on the Global Goals!

On this special annual day Bikeventures and Cycling out of Poverty are happy to join the celebration of the FREEDOM OF CYCLING in Jinja, Uganda.

What?

We close Gabula Rd in Jinja to allow children to ride their (or Bikeventures’) bicycles, skates or skate boards in a car free, safe environment, on a 1 kilometer long smooth stretch of asphalt. Where can you find that in Uganda?!
